Quita Espuela Scientific Preserve is a virgin cloud forest like few others. Our 3 hour hike takes you all the way to the peak of a small mountain, standing 3,230 feet above sea level, here we can find one of the best preserved nature preserves in the country. During this hike we visit beautiful hidden waterfalls few ever get the chance to see, hike through a beautiful cloudforest, visit an organic coco plantation, and observe endemic fauna and flora unique to the area. This challenging hike is well worth it for those looking for something truly special in nature. Once we reach the observation tower at the very top, you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Cibao Valley, the most fertile lands in all the island. This pristine cloudforest is the perfect place to have a truly unforgettable ecotourism experience in the Dominican Republic.
