The Loma Guaconejo Scientific Preserve is a tropical rain forest and a great place to spend a relaxing day out in the countryside. It is located in the outskirts of Nagua, a quiet community that lives in part, sustainably, off organic cocoa farming and exporting. You will have the opportunity to see the entire process of organic cocoa farming, from seed to the finished product: Some of the finest chocolate in the world.
Enjoy nothing but the sound of nature and the water flowing through it’s various waterfalls and rivers. Be prepared to get your feet wet while taking a soft hike through it’s trails. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Cuesta Colorada eco lodge and we guarantee that the peace you will feel here will make you want to stay.
