This unforgettable cloud forest hiking tour from Puerto Plata takes you to the Ebano Verde Scientific Preserve, one of our favorite nature preserves in the Dominican Republic. The Ebano Verde Cloud Forest is located in the heart of our Central Mountain Range, which are the tallest mountains in all the Caribbean. The preserve is the birthplace of more than 30 different rivers and streams, making it a true ecological treasure of the Dominican Republic and a very valuable resource for the Dominican people.
Enjoy a 3 hour hike through the cloud forest where you can observe the incredible indigenous flora and fauna of the island, many breathtaking views, hike along rivers, streams and beautiful waterfalls, some of which you can actually swim in. All this makes for a truly magical day in the Caribbean highlands!
