Ebano Verde Cloud Forest Birding Tour from Santo Domingo

Join us on an unforgettable private birdwatching tour from Santo Domingo to one of the premier mountain birding sites in the Dominican Republic. Many of our country’s 31 endemic species of birds are only found only in the mountains. This tour takes you to the Ebano Verde Scientific Preserve, one of our favorite parks and a pristine cloud forest located at about 3,000 feet above sea level, in the heart of the Central Mountain Range, which is the tallest mountain range in all the Caribbean with peaks rising above 10,000 feet in elevation. The park is home to breathtaking scenery, pristine sections of rain forest, cloud forest, and even pine forest. At the park we constantly find a wide variety of birds, including many of our endemics, some of which are quite rare. The park is also an important migratory bird site from October to March, but good for birding in general year round.
