Ebano Verde Cloudforest Hiking Tour from Santo Domingo

This unforgettable cloud forest hiking tour from Santo Domingo takes you to the Ebano Verde Scientific Preserve, a truly amazing place. One of our favorite parks, Ebano Verde is located in the heart of our Central Mountain Range, which are the tallest mountains in all the Caribbean. The preserve is the birthplace of more than 30 different rivers and streams, making it a true ecological treasure of the Dominican Republic and a very valuable resource for the Dominican people.

Enjoy a 3 hour hike through the cloud forest where you can observe the incredible indigenous flora and fauna of the mountains, breathtaking mountain top views, walk along rivers, streams and beautiful waterfalls, some of which you can actually swim in. We follow up our hike with a delicious Dominican style lunch at the park visitor’s center and then free time for swimming at the nearby and spectacular “El Arroyazo” waterfall.
